Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ticxz B.V. collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Ticxz platform, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch law.

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

Ticxz B.V. (“Ticxz”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Ticxz ticketing platform (the “Service”). For the personal data we process about you when you use the Service, create an account, or purchase a ticket, Ticxz B.V. acts as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the “GDPR”) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (Uitvoeringswet AVG).

Please note that Ticxz is a platform that enables event organizers (“Organizers”) to sell tickets. When an Organizer obtains your personal data through the Service to manage their event, that Organizer acts as an independent data controller for its own use of your data. This Privacy Policy describes how Ticxz processes your personal data; for questions about how an Organizer uses your data, please contact that Organizer directly.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: Such as your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register an account.

  • Order and ticket data : Such as the events and tickets you purchase, your booking reference, and the name and email address used for the order.

  • Payment data: Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Ticxz does not collect or store your full card details; we receive only limited transaction information (such as confirmation of payment) from Stripe.

  • Usage and technical data : Such as your IP address, device and browser information, and data collected through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Service.

  • Communications and support data : The content of messages you send us, for example when you contact our support team or submit a contact form.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

We only process your personal data where we have a legal basis to do so under Article 6 of the GDPR. The table below sets out our purposes and the corresponding legal bases:

a. Performance of a contract

To create and manage your account, process your ticket orders, deliver your tickets, send order confirmations, and provide customer support relating to your purchase.

b. Legitimate interests

To secure and improve the Service, prevent and detect fraud and abuse, maintain the safety and integrity of our platform, and carry out analytics to understand how the Service is used. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.

c. Legal obligation

To comply with legal obligations to which we are subject, such as tax, accounting, and statutory retention requirements under Dutch law.

d. Consent

Where required by law, we rely on your consent, for example for certain marketing communications and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Sharing Your Data

We share your personal data only where necessary, and only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Event Organizers: When you purchase a ticket, we share your name and contact information with the Organizer of that event so they can manage your entry and communicate important event-related information to you. The Organizer is an independent controller for its use of this data.

  • Stripe: Our payment processor, which processes your payment securely. Your transaction is also subject to Stripe's own Services Agreement and Privacy Policy.

  • Service providers: Hosting, email delivery, and other infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf as processors, under data processing agreements that require them to protect your data.

  • Authorities: Public authorities or other third parties where we are required to do so by law or legal process.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. International Data Transfers

We aim to store and process your personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where any of our service providers process personal data outside the EEA, we ensure an appropriate level of protection by relying on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by putting in place appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Service to you and to comply with our legal obligations. For example, transaction and invoicing records are retained for the statutory fiscal retention period applicable under Dutch law (currently seven years). When your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • The right to access your personal data and obtain a copy of it.

  • The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • The right to erasure of your data (the 'right to be forgotten').

  • The right to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.

  • The right to data portability, allowing you to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

  • The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

  • The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@ticxz.com. We will respond to your request within the time limits set by the GDPR.

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. Essential cookies are necessary for the Service to function and do not require your consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through your browser settings or any cookie preferences tool we provide.

9. How We Protect Your Data

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Payment information is handled by Stripe in a secure, PCI-DSS-compliant environment, and passwords are stored in hashed form. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we continuously work to safeguard your data.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@ticxz.com and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
