Ticketmaster vs Ticxz

Looking for a Ticketmaster alternative? A fair comparison based on what both platforms publish, so you can decide which one fits your event.

Ticketmaster is built for arenas, stadium tours and onsales that move tens of thousands of tickets in minutes. If that is your event, price is not the question you should be asking. For everyone else the practical difference is access: Ticketmaster sells through contracts and account teams, while you can set up on Ticxz and be selling the same afternoon.

About Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster is a primary ticketing platform and marketplace owned by Live Nation Entertainment. It describes itself as the largest ticket marketplace in the world, processing around 600 million tickets a year across more than 35 countries, and has operated in the Netherlands since 1999.

Nothing on its organizer-facing sites states a rate, a setup fee, a contract length or a payout schedule, which is why every row above reads the same. Every route in is a lead form, and Ticketmaster’s own copy frames its FAQ as things to understand "before you get on a sales call". It does say it works with events of every size, so the absence of a rate card is not a size restriction, just a commercial model.

One useful comparison does exist. Universe, Ticketmaster’s self-serve brand, publishes a Netherlands rate card: 2% + €0.45 per ticket on Starter, capped at €9.95, and 2% + €0.95 on Standard, capped at €19.95, both excluding VAT and processing, with no setup or termination fees and free events free.

Figures on this page come from public sources, last checked on 18 Aug 2026: Ticketmaster for business, Universe pricing.Pricing and features change. Ticketmaster is not affiliated with Ticxz, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners. Spotted something out of date or wrong? Let us know via our contact page and we will correct it.
