Events
Events are the core component of the ticketing platform. This guide provides an overview of how events work and how to
manage them effectively.
What is an Event?
An event represents any occasion for which you sell tickets. Each event belongs to an organization and contains its own
ticket types, settings, and analytics.
Event Types
The platform supports three types of events:
- Standard Events: A single occurrence with a fixed start and end date.
- Time-Slotted Events: Events with multiple time slots, ideal for recurring activities or events that span several
days. Each time slot can have its own capacity and ticket availability.
- Seated Events: Events that sell assigned seats or general-admission zones from a venue seat map. Each seat or GA
area is linked to one or more ticket types via per-element allocations.
See Event Types for a side-by-side comparison.
Creating an Event
To create a new event:
- Navigate to the Events page and click "New event"
- Choose the event type (Standard, Time-Slotted, or Seated)
- For Seated events, pick a published seat map to attach
- Enter the event name, description, and custom URL
- Set the date and time (for Standard and Seated events)
- Add the event location using address search or the map
After creation, you'll be taken to the event settings page to configure the remaining details.
Event Settings
Event settings are organized into four tabs:
- General: Event name, description, custom URL, date/time (standard events), and location
- Branding: Logo, banner image, colors, fonts, border styles, and theme
- Financial: Platform fee and transaction fee settings, VAT configuration, and payment methods
- Publish: Toggle publication status and view the event URL
Publishing an Event
To make an event available for ticket purchases, you need to publish it from the Publish tab. Once published, the
event will be accessible at its shop URL.
Publishing does not require Stripe. If your organization has no connected Stripe account, the shop still opens and free
orders go through as normal, but the payment step for paid tickets cannot be completed: the pay button is disabled and
explains that payments are not enabled for the event. Connect a Stripe account on the Stripe page to accept paid
orders.
Note: your organization must also be published for the event to be visible to customers.
Ticket Types
Each event can have multiple ticket types with different prices and availability. For each ticket type, you can
configure:
- Name and description
- Price
- Total quantity available
- Maximum tickets per order
- Sales start and end dates
Time Slots
For time-slotted events, you manage time slots through the Schedule page. You can:
- Create individual time slots with a start and end date
- Generate recurring slots (daily, weekly, or monthly)
- Set capacity limits per slot
- Enable or disable specific ticket types per slot
Seat Maps
For seated events, you attach a published seat map design from your organization, then assign ticket types to each seat
or GA area on the event's Seating page. See Seat Maps for designing the venue layout and
Seated Events for the per-event setup.
Promo Codes
You can create discount codes for your events with the following options:
- Percentage or fixed amount discounts
- Single-use or multi-use codes
- Minimum order total requirement
- Maximum usage limits
- Start and end dates
- Restriction to specific ticket types
Event Analytics
Each event includes an analytics dashboard with:
- Revenue trends over time
- Order count statistics
- Website visits and page views
- Sales breakdown by ticket type
- Ticket stock remaining per type
- Geographic visitor data
- Traffic source analysis
Analytics can be viewed for the last week, month, year, or a custom period.
Orders
The Orders page shows all purchases for your event, including:
- Order status (Complete, Pending, Failed, Refunded)
- Order details and ticket information
- Filtering by status and time slot
- Search and sorting options
Scanner
The Scanner feature allows you to check in attendees at your event:
- Generate a QR code to register a scanner device
- Manage scanner device access tokens
- Track check-ins in real time
Event List
The Events overview page displays all your events with:
- Event date and name
- Publication status
