Payments

The ticketing platform uses Stripe to handle all payment processing for your ticket sales. This guide explains how to set up and manage payments.

Setting Up Payments

Publishing your organization and your events never waits on Stripe, and free tickets need no Stripe account at all. Before you can sell paid tickets, you need to connect a Stripe account to your organization:

  1. Navigate to the Stripe page from the dashboard sidebar
  2. Click the "Onboarding" button to start the Stripe Connect setup
  3. You will be redirected to Stripe to create or connect your account
  4. Complete the verification steps required by Stripe
  5. Once finished, you will be redirected back to the platform

After onboarding, the Stripe page shows your account status:

  • Complete: Charges and payouts are both enabled
  • Requires Action: Additional steps are needed to fully activate your account
  • Disabled: Your account has been disabled
  • Not Connected: No Stripe account is linked yet

You can click "Update" at any time to refresh or complete your onboarding.

Supported Payment Methods

The following payment methods can be enabled in the Financial tab of your event or organization settings:

  • Card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • iDEAL | Wero
  • Bancontact
  • Revolut Pay

Each payment method has its own transaction fee rates. See Understanding Fees for details.

Payouts

Payouts are managed through your Stripe account. The platform does not have separate payout settings — your payout schedule, method, and currency are configured directly in your Stripe dashboard.

Stripe Dashboard

The Stripe page in the platform shows:

  • Revenue: An overview of your revenue
  • Balance: Your current pending and available balance
  • Transactions: A paginated list of balance transactions

For full financial management (payouts, disputes, etc.), use your Stripe dashboard directly.

Financial Settings

Fee and payment method settings are configured in two places:

  • Organization Settings > Default Financial: Sets the default for all events
  • Event Settings > Financial: Overrides the organization default for a specific event

These settings control which payment methods are enabled, how fees are handled, and VAT display. See Understanding Fees for details on fee configuration.

Next Steps

After setting up your payment system, you may want to:

  1. Learn about fees in more detail
  2. Understand the refund process
  3. Set up promo codes for discounts
