Managing Users in Your Organization

The Users section allows you to manage access to your organization's dashboard and control what actions each user can perform. This guide explains how to add, manage, and configure user permissions.

User Roles

The platform offers four predefined roles with different permission levels, structured as a hierarchy:

  • Owner: Has full access to all organization settings, events, and user management. The Owner role can only be assigned during organization creation and cannot be changed through the UI.
  • Admin: Can manage most settings, all events, and other non-owner users
  • Write: Can create and edit events and related data, but has limited access to organization settings
  • Read: Has read-only access to events and organization data

Each higher role inherits all permissions from the roles below it.

Adding Users

To add a new user to your organization:

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings > Users
  2. Click the "User" button
  3. Enter the user's name
  4. Enter the user's email address
  5. Select the appropriate access level (Read, Write, or Admin)
  6. Click "Create"

If the user does not yet have an account, one will be created automatically and they will receive an email with a password reset link. If the user already has an account, they will receive an invitation email to join your organization.

Managing Existing Users

The Users page displays all users in your organization with their:

  • Name (with avatar)
  • Created at date
  • Last active date
  • Status (Active, Pending, or Disabled)
  • Role

A user with "Pending" status has not yet accepted their invitation and set up their account.

From this page, you can:

  • Edit a user's role and active status
  • Reset a user's password
  • Remove a user from your organization

Permission Hierarchy

The platform uses a simple role-based permission hierarchy. Each role includes all permissions of the roles below it:
