Organizations
Organizations in the ticketing platform serve as the parent entity for managing events, users, and settings. This guide
explains how organizations work and how to manage them effectively.
What is an Organization?
An organization represents your company, group, or entity that hosts events. It provides a way to:
- Manage multiple events under one account
- Control user access and permissions
- Centralize billing and payment settings
Organization Dashboard
When you log in, you'll see your organization dashboard which provides:
- Overview of all events associated with your organization
- Access to organization-wide settings
- User management tools
Creating an Organization
If you're new to the platform, you'll be prompted to create an organization during the sign-up process:
- Enter your organization name
- Provide basic contact information
Organization Settings
The organization settings page allows you to manage:
- General Settings: Name, display name, email, and phone number
- Financial Settings: Configure fee passing (platform/transaction fees), VAT settings, and allowed payment methods
- Publish Settings: Manage the publication status of your organization
Publishing an Organization
When you publish your organization, your organization page will be published. Only published events will be shown here.
If your organization is not published, none of your events (even those that are published) will be visible to customers.
Publishing does not require a connected Stripe account. Without one you can still run free events; paid orders cannot be
completed until you finish Stripe onboarding.
Organization Hierarchy
The platform uses a hierarchical structure:
- Organization: The top-level entity
- Events: Individual events created by the organization
- Time Slot: A timeslot for which tickets can be purchased (only time-slotted events)
- Ticket Types: Different ticket options for each event
- Orders: Customer purchases of tickets
- Tickets: Tickets that belong to an order
This structure allows for efficient management of multiple events while maintaining centralized control.
Multiple Organizations
Some users may need to manage multiple organizations (for example, if you manage events for different clients). You can:
- Create separate organizations for each client or business unit
- Switch between organizations using the organization selector
- Maintain different settings and user permissions for each organization
- Connect a different Stripe account to each organization
Next Steps
After setting up your organization, you may want to:
- Manage organization users
- Create your first event
- Configure payment settings
