Time Slots

Time slots allow you to divide your event into specific time periods that attendees can book. This guide explains how to create and manage time slots for your events.

What Are Time Slots?

Time slots are specific time periods within a time-slotted event that attendees select when purchasing tickets. They are useful for:

  • Tours with multiple departure times
  • Classes or workshops with multiple sessions
  • Exhibitions where you want to control crowd flow
  • Any event where you want to spread attendees across different times

Accessing the Schedule

To manage time slots:

  1. Navigate to your event in the dashboard
  2. Go to the Schedule page from the sidebar
  3. You'll see a calendar view showing your existing time slots

Calendar Views

The schedule page offers multiple views:

  • Month View: See all time slots across a full month
  • Week View: Focus on a specific week with detailed time information
  • Day View: See a detailed schedule for a single day
  • Agenda View: View time slots in a chronological list

On mobile, only Day View and Agenda View are available.

Creating Time Slots

You can create time slots in two ways:

From the Toolbar

  1. Click the "New slot" button
  2. Fill in the slot details
  3. Click "Create"

From the Calendar

  1. Click and drag on the calendar to select a time range
  2. The slot dialog will open with the selected times pre-filled
  3. Fill in the remaining details and click "Create"

Time Slot Settings

When creating a time slot, you can configure:

  • Title: A name for the time slot (e.g., "Morning Session")
  • Start: The start date and time
  • End: The end time (must be on the same day as the start)
  • Total limit: An optional overall capacity limit for the slot. When this limit is reached before individual ticket limits, sales will be closed.
  • Ticket types: Select which ticket types are available for this slot and set the quantity available for each

Pricing is defined on the ticket types themselves, not on individual slots.

Recurring Slots

Instead of creating slots one by one, you can generate recurring slots by enabling the "Repeats" toggle:

  • Frequency: Daily, weekly, or monthly
  • Interval: How often it repeats (e.g., every 2 days, every 3 weeks)
  • Days of the week (weekly only): Select which days the slot should repeat on
  • End condition: Choose either:
    • On: A specific end date (up to 1 year from the start)
    • After: A set number of occurrences

Managing Time Slots

After creating time slots, you can:

  • Edit: Click on a slot in the calendar to modify its details
  • Delete: Remove a slot (not possible if tickets have been sold for it)

For recurring slots, edits and deletes can be applied to:

  • A single slot
  • This slot and all following slots in the series
  • All slots in the series

Calendar Display

Time slots on the calendar show:

  • The time and title
  • Tickets sold vs. total stock
  • Past slots are shown with strikethrough styling

Next Steps

After setting up your time slots, you may want to:

  1. Create ticket types for different pricing options
  2. Set up promo codes for discounts
  3. Configure the scanner for checking in attendees
